About

The Democracy of Remix was launched as a new platform for (Re)creativity. No longer do you have to browse multiple sites to get the latest on mash-ups, remixes, audio technology and street art, because this is the place. Although this is a site that promotes Remix culture, we don’t condone piracy, only (Re)creativity. The site was designed to be a dynamic source of information that leads visitors directly to more exciting sources of information. Even though the site is still in its infant stages, we have become a respected source of information on the web. The Democracy of Remix strides to create a platform for speech. Using digital technologies we are excited to advance the dialogue on Fair Use and Remix Culture. We want to become a pool of information that empowers a new generation of media makers. In addition, we feature profiles of new technology and artist from around the globe, showcasing their talents and skills in their respective areas of creativity. Also, from time to time we feature open domain content, which is free for visitors to remix and upload back to our site, creating collaborative masterpieces. TDR is designed to combine information and educate by directing the viewer to endless resources while also cataloging that information in our archive for unlimited access. To enrich the TDR experience, we also invite all readers to speak out about entries on the site that they respond to and submit those artists that they feel should be featured on the site.

Remix is in the hands of the people. This is your stage.
